Man arrested after hit-and-run crash killed 3-year-old
DENVER (KDVR) — Erie police officers last week arrested a man after a hit-and-run killed a young child in the town earlier this year. The crash happened in the area of Village Vista Drive on Feb. 15. The boy was playing with two older boys outside his home when the boy somehow got up a steep embankment that led to the road where he was hit, the boy's mother told FOX31 earlier this year. The vehicle that hit him left the scene, prompting a search by police that spanned months. Police initially identified the suspect, Seth Kirkegaard, 32, as a person of interest, but on Friday arrested him on charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving death, careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury or death and no insurance driver.
