Lodi man denies charges linked to deadly accident

A 19-year-old man from Lodi, Brenden Anthony Gundel, appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to two felony charges related to a deadly accident in Lafayette Township. The charges include aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular assault. The incident took place on Dec. 22 on Friendsville Road, involving two vehicles. One vehicle, occupied by a couple, resulted in the death of Pegeen Razem and injuries to Robert Razem. Gundel, the driver of the second vehicle, was also injured. At the arraignment, it was mentioned that Gundel's bail, set at $100,000 with certain conditions, had already been posted. Moving forward, a no-contact condition with the Razem family was emphasized. The case is set for a pretrial hearing in March. For further inquiries, you can get in touch with reporter Sara Crawford at (330) 721-4063 or [email protected].
