Kern County coroner ID’s man who died in fiery Hwy 58 car crash earlier this month
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Law enforcement has identified the man who died in a fiery car crash earlier this month. The Kern County coroner identified the victim as 28-year-old Eric Daniel Garcia, of Bakersfield. Garcia was operating a vehicle westbound down Highway 58, when the car left the roadway and caught fire, east of General Beale Road in Bakersfield, on June 19. The California Highway Patrol said Garcia was pronounced deceased at the scene, at 4:28 p.m. A postmortem examination was conducted and the cause and manner of death is still pending.
