Jackson police searching for driver after fatal hit-and-run crash
Jackson police are searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash Wednesday night.The Hinds County Coroner's Office responded to a crash on Maddox Road near Greenway Drive.The coroner told 16 WAPT News that a 47-year-old man who lived nearby was struck by a vehicle. The driver then fled the scene.16 WAPT crews at the scene observed what appeared to be the front bumper of a vehicle along the side of the road.Police are now searching for the driver involved in the crash.Additional details about the victim and the circumstances surrounding the crash have not been released.
