Vehicle crashes onto ODU campus sidewalk
NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A vehicle somehow ended up on a sidewalk on the campus of Old Dominion University Monday afternoon. Norfolk Police confirmed there were injuries reported after the single-vehicle crash. Officers responded at 3:05 p.m. to a call about a car that hit a building in the 4200 block of Monarch Way. Images from the scene show the black SUV involved in the crash came to a rest between a building and a tree. It knocked down a light pole. Police put up a tape perimeter and blocked the road while they investigated the cause of the crash and worked to clear the scene.
