Identification of woman who died in collision with car, ambulance in West Chester
The woman who tragically lost her life in a collision between a car and an ambulance on a busy road in West Chester has been identified by the coroner. The incident occurred on Beckett Road near Beckett Park at approximately 5:40 p.m. According to West Chester investigators, the ambulance, which belonged to West Chester Township, was on its way back from transporting a patient to the hospital when the accident occurred. Two individuals from the other vehicle sustained serious injuries and were rushed to UC Health West Chester Hospital. Regrettably, one of the victims passed away from their injuries as announced late Tuesday evening. The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Ernestina Obeng by the Butler County Coroner on Thursday. Prior to their transfer, the paramedics in the ambulance provided medical care to the injured parties. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.
