I-95 South in downtown Richmond closed due to 10-car accident
Four individuals were injured in a series of accidents involving 10 vehicles on Interstate 95 in Virginia as it was snowing around 9:15 a.m. Friday. The crashes occurred near exit 74C on Broad Street, leading to the closure of the southbound lanes. According to a spokesperson from the Virginia State Police, the initial incident was triggered by a silver sedan losing control, causing subsequent collisions including a jack-knifed tractor-trailer blocking all lanes. All lanes were reopened before noon on Friday, with the four injured individuals taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The crashes are currently under investigation amidst ongoing winter weather conditions in Central Virginia. If you have any additional information, please contact the CBS 6 Newsroom.
