I-40 back open in Albuquerque after fatal crash
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Traffic is flowing again after a crash shut down a stretch of eastbound I-40. The Albuquerque Police Department said that around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the SUV drove slowly on the Eubank Blvd. off-ramp when it traveled through the intersection, over the curb, and down the embankment toward traffic. The SUV eventually stopped on the shoulder. The police said the driver was transported to the hospital, where he died. The crash remains under investigation.
