Forrest County investigator dies after motorcycle crash
FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WHLT) - The Forrest County Sheriff's Office announced Investigator Andretta English died following a motorcycle crash on June 27, 2026. According to the sheriff's office, English joined the department on February 26, 2024, after serving as a patrol deputy. "From her very first day, her passion for serving others was evident. Her dedication, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to this profession quickly earned the respect of those around her. Earlier this year, she was assigned to the Investigations Division, where she continued to excel and make a lasting impact on our agency and the citizens we serve," officials said. They said English spent several years serving the community with AAA Ambulance Service. "Please keep Investigator English's family, friends, and our entire Sheriff's Office family in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn the loss of one of our own," officials said. "Rest easy, Investigator Andretta English. Thank you for your service, your compassion, and your sacrifice. Your watch has ended, but your legacy will remain with us forever."
