Fiery crash closes part of I-65 in Bartholomew County
BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. – A fiery crash involving a pair of semis closed part of I-65 in Bartholomew County. According to an alert from the Indiana Department of Transportation citing Indiana State Police, this happened around 1:30 a.m. on northbound I-65 near mile marker 79 just south of Edinburgh. INDOT camera footage from earlier in the morning showed a large amount of fire and smoke. Emergency units remained at the scene as of 5 a.m. All northbound lanes were closed. The crash remains under investigation.
