Fatal train crash in Blue Island leaves one dead and another seriously hurt: authorities
A teenager lost his life and another individual was hurt in a collision involving a freight train in Blue Island on Wednesday, as reported by CSX. At around 6:11 p.m., a CSX train collided with a vehicle near Broadway Street. Jair Ortega, aged 19, suffered fatal injuries while another person was in critical condition, as stated by authorities. Fortunately, none of the train crew members were harmed.
