Fatal rollover crash on I-5 in Merced County
In Merced County, a 2024 Subaru Outback carrying five people crashed early Tuesday morning after veering into a center divider on Interstate 5. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn and collide with a barbed wire fence, resulting in the death of one passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver sustained minor injuries, while the other passengers suffered various degrees of injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
