Fatal one-car crash claims woman's life in south Houston, authorities report
A tragic incident occurred when a woman in her late 30s lost her life in a fatal collision on Wednesday night in south Houston. The crash happened on Bellfort Avenue near Knight Road around 10:40 p.m. It is believed that the driver was speeding eastbound on Bellfort when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a tree in the median. Despite first responders arriving promptly and extinguishing the fire engulfing the vehicle, they were unable to save the driver. Authorities suspect that no other vehicles were involved in the accident, but the identity of the driver has not yet been disclosed.
