Fatal I-526 westbound single-vehicle crash under investigation: NCPD
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - Officers are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that happened on Interstate 526 westbound Saturday evening. The North Charleston Police Department's Traffic Unit said the collision occurred at approximately 7:07 p.m. on I-526 westbound near Paramount Drive. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a lone vehicle had struck a cable barrier off the roadway. No other vehicles were identified as involved in this incident. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle, and they were pronounced dead at the scene. NCPD and the Charleston County Coroner's Office are investigating the collision. Officers urge individuals with information to send it to NCPD through CRIMEWATCH.
