Fatal crash with semi-truck claims driver's life in Montgomery County
In Montgomery County, just north of Coffeyville, a fatal collision occurred early Saturday morning between a semi-truck and a Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 34-year-old Dakota Ray Hinman of Parsons. Sadly, Hinman lost his life in the accident that took place around 3:00 a.m. at the junction of U.S. Highway 169 and County Road 2800. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol report, Hinman, who did not have a seatbelt on, failed to yield at the intersection, resulting in the collision with the northbound semi-truck. The driver of the semi suffered possible injuries but did not require medical treatment.
