Fatal crash involving SUV and pedestrian in southwest Iowa
PAGE COUNTY, Iowa -- A pedestrian died over the weekend in southwest Iowa after being struck by a vehicle. The Iowa State Patrol said it was contacted just before 10:00 p.m. Saturday by the Page County Sheriff's Office, which requested assistance with a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. The crash report stated the incident happened on D Avenue, about 2,300 feet south of 130th Street. That's north of Essex. The ISP said a 2014 Toyota Venza driven by Elyzabeth Henry was traveling southbound when the SUV struck a person walking near or on the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as Roselyn Robbin Stark, died from her injuries. No other details were immediately released. The crash remains under investigation.
