Fatal car crash in Dutchess County
A tragic car accident in Rhinebeck has left one person dead and two others injured. Authorities have reported that 19-year-old Jonathan Aguirre of Kingston was the victim who lost his life in the crash. The incident took place on Route 9G near Route 308 when Aguirre, driving a Nissan, veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Subaru sedan. Aguirre was taken to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries, while the occupants of the Subaru were also hospitalized. Route 9G was temporarily shut down for rescue efforts and investigation by local authorities. The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office is currently leading the investigation into the cause of the accident.
