Fatal ATV crash claims life of Maryland woman
In Fulton County, Pennsylvania, a woman from Maryland tragically passed away in an ATV accident Friday night. Pennsylvania State Police shared that Holley Appel, 36 years old and from Hancock, Maryland, was operating a Polaris ATV on Negro Mountain Road in Union Township when the incident occurred. The ATV veered off the road after attempting a left-hand curve, rolling down an embankment and coming to a stop on its hood. Two female passengers from Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania, were hospitalized for head injuries, while an 8-year-old girl was airlifted to Conemaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown with serious injuries. The scene was attended by the Fulton County Coroner and various emergency services.
