DUI: Wrong-way driver crash into semi blocks NB lanes of Highway 99 in Madera
A rollover crash involving a semi-truck and a wrong-way driver is blocking part of Highway 99 on Friday morning in Madera. The crash is on Highway 99 at Avenue 7. CHP Madera says they received a call around 6:16 a.m. for reports of a major crash. Initial investigations show that a driver in a black Toyota Camry was driving the wrong way when they crashed head-on into a Frito-Lay semi truck. The driver of the semi was taken to the hospital for complaints of pain. Northbound 99 at Avenue 7 will be closed for several hours, and traffic is being diverted onto Avenue 7. Alternate routes for travel are: 41 North to Avenue 12 West West on Shaw Avenue to Highway 145/Madera Avenue, and then travel north . . .
