Driver dead after single-car crash in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Va. (DC News Now) -- One person died after their car crashed in Springfield on Tuesday, police said. In a post just before 4 p.m., the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said that officers were in the area of Old Keene Mill Road near Tiverton Drive for a crash that involved one car. FCPD said that the driver, an adult, died at the scene. Two passengers, both adults, were taken to the hospital with injuries. One of the people had life-threatening injuries. As of 4 p.m., eastbound Old Keene Mill Road at Hunter Village Drive was shut down for officials to investigate the crash. FCPD did not say what led to the crash.
