14-year-old dies following Beaverton crash on Wednesday
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A 14-year-old is dead following a crash in Beaverton on Wednesday morning, officials said. Early Wednesday morning, the Beaverton Police Department responded to the crash near the intersection of Southwest Loon Drive and Southwest Scholls Ferry Road, where the teen, who had been riding an e-scooter, was hit. After the crash, the teen was taken to a local hospital, but on Thursday, authorities said the teen had died. The cause of the crash still remains under investigation, and the teen's name will be released at a later date, authorities said.
