Driver accused of DUI manslaughter in deadly Tampa collision: TPD

A man was arrested in Tampa for DUI manslaughter following a fatal crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist early on Saturday morning. The Tampa Police Department (TPD) responded to the incident, which took place around 2:30 a.m. on County Line Road near Grand Hampton Drive. An adult male on a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle was heading eastbound on County Line Road when Mauricus Labron Green, 50, driving a 2016 Nissan Rogue, attempted to make a turn onto Grand Hampton Drive and collided with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and passed away at a local hospital. Green, who exhibited signs of impairment, was arrested at the scene for DUI manslaughter, and the investigation is ongoing with possible updates forthcoming.
