Driver accused of causing fatal crash in Loveland was allegedly intoxicated, says CSP
A tragic incident in Loveland, Colorado involved a crash on Interstate 25 resulting in the death of a toddler. The driver allegedly responsible, Jose Salazar, has been charged with serious offenses including vehicular homicide and assault for driving under the influence. The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) identified Salazar as the suspect in the crash that occurred around 12:27 p.m. on Tuesday, involving multiple vehicles on northbound I-25 at Crossroads Boulevard. Further investigations are ongoing regarding the chain of events leading to the collision. The driver of a box truck caused a secondary crash, impacting a 2018 Lexus GX carrying two adults and a minor who tragically lost their life. The community has come together to support the family of the victim, 17-month-old Elijah Manley, by creating a GoFundMe page.
