Denver man accused of causing crash with school bus for speeding 40 mph over limit

A Denver man was taken into custody following a collision involving a school activity bus that resulted in over a dozen individuals being transported to the hospital. Andrew Logan Miller, 22, was identified as the driver of the SUV that collided with the school bus. He has been arrested on suspicion of multiple charges including vehicular assault, excessive speeding, reckless driving, child abuse, and reckless endangerment. Reports indicated that the incident took place at the intersection of Kipling Parkway and West 6th Avenue when the school bus carrying a wrestling team from Central High School in Mesa County was hit by an SUV traveling at high speed. The bus was attempting to turn left onto westbound West 6th Avenue when the collision occurred. A total of 16 victims sustained injuries and were taken to hospitals. The investigation is ongoing, with speed believed to have been a significant factor in the crash. Miller is currently in custody and is expected to be transferred to Jefferson County Jail.
