Deadly crash shuts down part of Interstate 195 west in Westport
One person has died after a crash on Interstate 195 west in Westport Monday evening. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation posted on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that two right lanes were closed due to the crash. Massachusetts State Police said they responded to the crash shortly before 3:30 p.m. An NBC 10 photographer saw one vehicle on the side of the highway. Heavy debris was also seen scattered along the highway. Police did not share the person's identity. Drivers were asked to avoid the area. The crash is under investigation.
