Crash involving semi-truck closes interstate; 4 hurt
CLEVELAND (WJW) -- Four people are hospitalized Sunday morning after a crash involving a semi-truck, according to Cleveland EMS dispatch. The crash has closed the northbound lanes of I-71 at Denison Ave., according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. Cameras show a semi that appears to be on its side. A tow truck was on scene around the noon hour working to pull the truck upright. Cleveland EMS dispatchers tell FOX 8 they received a call for assistance around 9:15 a.m. Two people were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center and Brook Park EMS transported another two people to MetroHealth Center. All four individuals are stable, EMS dispatch said. It is not clear how many vehicles were involved and the cause of the crash is not known at this time.
