Prominent Japanese soccer player Kaoru Mitoma was involved in a minor traffic accident in Tokyo on Wednesday in which he hit a cyclist with his car.According to a statement from his agency, Mitoma, 29, came into contact with the individual on a bicycle while driving at around 8.45 a.m. on Wednesday as he was not paying enough attention to the road ahead.Mitoma was not injured, but the cyclist visited a medical institution for bruising, the agency said, adding that Mitoma immediately checked on the cyclist’s condition and acted in accordance with the instructions of police officers who arrived at the scene.
