I-80 fatal crash in Fairfield closes westbound lanes
(KRON) -- All lanes of westbound Interstate 80 in Fairfield, east of Highway 12, were closed early Friday morning after a fatal crash, according to the California Highway Patrol. The roadway was fully reopened by 6 a.m. The crash involved multiple vehicles around 2:35 a.m., the CHP incident log shows. Further details about the deadly collision were not immediately available. The far right lane reopened just before 5 a.m., and all lanes reopened within the next hour. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes and expect residual delays.
