Crash closes State Road between Westport and Dartmouth
WESTPORT, Mass. (WPRI) — A portion of Route 6 is closed as crews respond to an apparent head-on crash on the Westport-Dartmouth line. Police blocked off State Road between Union Avenue and Route 177 on Friday evening. A 12 News crew observed at least two cars with damage and at least five ambulances In a social media post around 8 p.m., the Westport Fire Department said its firefighters and paramedics were at the scene of a "very serious crash" on Route 6, along with first responders from Dartmouth Fire District 3 and Dartmouth EMS.
