Child sustains head injury after vehicle swerves off road in Lebanon County
An 11-year-old was transported to a local hospital after a crash on I-78 West on Saturday morning. The crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. in Swatara Township, Lebanon County, according to a crash report from Pennsylvania State Police. Troopers say the driver lost control of his Tesla during heavy rain and swerved off of the road. The Tesla crashed into an embankment and then two trees. Photos posted by Bunker Hill Fire Company show that the Tesla suffered serious damage from the crash. The driver was reportedly uninjured, but his 11-year-old son in the passenger seat sustained a head injury, according to state police. The child was transported by Life Lion EMS to Hershey Medical Center. The driver received a citation for the crash, according to the report.
