Child killed, 2 hurt in O’Fallon, Missouri crash.
In O'Fallon, a tragic accident on Friday afternoon resulted in the death of a child and injuries to two others. The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the crash took place around 2 p.m. near Route M on southbound Highway 79, involving a Mazda 3 and a Ford F-350 truck. The Ford was heading south while the Mazda was traveling north, and the Mazda's driver failed to yield to the Ford while making a left turn. The collision caused the Ford to hit the Mazda, sending it off the road and into a guardrail. Sadly, an 11-year-old girl from O'Fallon lost her life as a result of the crash. The driver of the Mazda sustained serious injuries, while the person driving the Ford had minor injuries. Both occupants of the Mazda were wearing seatbelts, but the Ford's driver was not wearing one at the time of the accident.
