Charges Filed Against Driver in Deadly Accident with Anthony Joshua

The individual who was driving the car involved in the accident with Anthony Joshua has been officially charged by the Ogun State Police Command in Nigeria. The driver, identified as Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, was charged with a series of offenses including causing death by dangerous driving, reckless driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a valid driver's licence. The accident occurred on the hazardous Lagos-Ibadan expressway on December 29 when the Lexus SUV, carrying the two-time world heavyweight champion as a passenger, collided with a stationary truck. Fortunately, Joshua and the driver survived, with Joshua sustaining minor injuries. Kayode was taken to Sagamu Magistrates Court where he was granted bail after being charged, with the case adjourned until January 20. Joshua was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after being treated for his injuries, following the incident that happened during his holiday trip in Nigeria.
