Car crashes into gas line, sets apartment on fire in Lawrence
LAWRENCE, Ind. - An investigation is underway after a car crashed into a gas line and set an apartment on fire in Lawrence Friday night. According to the Lawrence Police Department, just before midnight, first responders were called to the 9100 block of Bayou Court in reference to an apartment fire. Investigators said a car crashed into the apartment and a gas line, which set the building up in smoke. No injuries were reported, Lawrence PD said. A few people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. No additional information was provided. The incident remains under investigation.
