Alleged drunk driver arrested after fatal collision at Del City intersection

A suspect has been detained by authorities in connection with a fatal collision involving a motorcycle at an intersection in Del City last week. The incident occurred late Friday at the junction of East Reno Avenue and Sunnylane Road, resulting in the tragic death of motorcyclist Justin Ball, 32. Law enforcement officers discovered a Camry and its occupants at the accident site. The preliminary inquiry indicated that the Camry and the motorcycle collided at a high speed, and the driver displayed signs of impairment. Subsequently, the driver was apprehended on suspicion of driving under the influence, as further probing unveiled a revoked driver's license and the presence of a handgun within the Camry. The 30-year-old man behind the wheel of the Camry was secured into custody on multiple charges, such as aggravated DUI, possession of a firearm by a felon, causing a fatal accident without a valid license, driving with a revoked license, and second-degree murder. The investigation is still ongoing, and formal charges will be submitted to the Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office for examination. The suspect's identity has not been disclosed by KOCO 5 at this time.
