MSP: Man killed in single-car crash in Waterloo Township
WATERLOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLNS) — A man was killed in a crash in Waterloo Township Saturday, police say. It happened around 7:30 p.m. in the area of Territorial Road and Mount Hope Road, Michigan State Police said in a Sunday social media post. Troopers say the driver was going eastbound on Territorial Road when he drove onto the gravel shoulder, causing him to lose control of his sedan. The sedan crossed back over the median before going off the road, ultimately hitting both a traffic sign and then a utility pole, MSP said. The driver, a 62-year-old man of Belleville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers suspect alcohol and speed may be factors in the crash. Police are investigating.
