Victims identified after fatal Berks County crash
GREEN HILLS, Pa. (WHTM) -- The Berks County Coroner's Office identified the two victims of a fatal crash on Interstate 76 earlier this week. Jose Cuevas Sosa, 18, and Jose Uribe Duarte, 20, both of Reading, were passengers in an Audi involved in a crash Friday morning on Interstate 176 southbound near Robeson Township near Kurtz Mill Road. The driver of another vehicle involved, Paul Villaneuva, 44, of Coatesville, is facing homicide by vehicle and related charges following the crash. According to the State Police at Reading, Villanueva was driving a 2012 Nissan Maxima which tried to change lanes between the Audi and a Chevrolet Cobalt, striking the Audi. Troopers said the Audi left the roadway, hit an embankment, and went airborne before landing upside down between the two bridges at Kurtz Mill Road next to a creek. Two passengers in the Audi died and the driver was taken to Reading Hospital with serious injuries. Villaneuva was arraigned on homicide by vehicle and related charges. He was released on $100,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is set for August 4.
