3 injured after Harley-Davidson, BMW crash in Huntingdon
HUNTINGDON, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Three people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Huntingdon Saturday afternoon. According to state police, a man was driving a Harley-Davidson with a woman passenger on Penn Street (Route 26) at around 2:14 p.m. May 16. The duo was traveling at a high rate of speed when approaching the intersection with 7th Street. At the time, a BMW was stopped at a stop sign on 7th Street and began to turn left onto Penn Street. The Harley-Davidson ultimately crashed into the rear driver's side area of the SUV. The driver and passenger of the motorcycle, both 23, from Huntingdon, were taken to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. The driver of the BMW, a 59-year-old Mount Union resident, was taken to Penn Highlands Huntingdon with suspected minor injuries. Troopers noted that both people on the Harley were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. Charges are currently pending an investigation.
