2 killed in Tooele County crash
ERDA, Tooele County — Two men in their 60s were killed in a Tooele County crash Wednesday.A Chevy Corvette turning left from Parachute Lane onto state Route 179 turned in front of a northbound semitruck that was not hauling a trailer. The semi crashed into the Corvette, Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden said.The two people in the Corvette, the 66-year-old driver and a 65-year-old passenger, were both killed. Their names have not been released.The northbound lanes on state Route 179 were closed for a time while troopers responded to the scene but have since reopened.This story will be updated.
