2 hospitalized after vehicles collide, erupt into flames, chief says
Two people were hospitalized after a fiery crash in York County on Monday, according to Southern Area Fire and Emergency Rescue Chief Don Hopple. Video above: Headlines from WGAL News 8 Today. Two vehicles collided on Cape Horn Road near Old Dutch Lane in Windsor Township at 11:29 p.m. Both vehicles were engulfed in flames, and all occupants were out when emergency crews arrived, according to the fire department. Firefighters extinguished the flames, but both vehicles were destroyed. Chief Hopple said two people were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown. A stretch of Cape Horn Road was shut down for an extended time due to damage to the roadway, according to the department. Hopple said the road reopened after PennDOT responded and made repairs.
