2 dead after 3-vehicle crash in Hillsborough County
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Two people are dead, and one man is recovering after a three-vehicle crash in Hillsborough County Saturday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on SR-39 at 12:25 p.m. Troopers said a Subaru SUV attempted to pass a vehicle while traveling southbound and entered the path of a northbound Chrysler minivan, crashing into the vehicle head-on. Upon impact, troopers said one or both of the vehicles spun and hit a Ford F250 towing a horse trailer that was traveling behind the Subaru, before leaving the road and stopping. The drivers of the Subaru and the Chrysler died from their injuries. The driver of the Ford had minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital for treatment.
