1 dead, 1 hospitalized after car crashes into pole in NE Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A person is dead after a car crashed into a pole in the Cully neighborhood of Northeast Portland early Tuesday morning, according to police. Officials responded to the area of NE Lombard Street and 72nd Avenue to find the crashed Infinity G35 just before 3:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found two people inside. One person was pronounced dead at the scene while the other was taken to the hospital for treatment. It is not clear what happened in the moments leading up to the crash. Investigators have closed NE Lombard Street from Cully Boulevard to 72nd Avenue and Killingsworth Street from Cully Boulevard to Lombard Street.
