Wrong-way driver killed in crash: OSHP
SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that left a Fremont woman dead. According to a Wednesday morning news release, the crash, involving two vehicles, happened in Green Creek Township just after 9:30 p.m. Investigators said 32-year-old Ezekiel E. Rodriguez of Fremont was going east on US 20, just east of Township Road 214, when he was hit head-on by 68-year-old Janet Hirt, who troopers said was driving west in the eastbound lanes. Hirt died at the scene, according to OSHP. Rodriguez was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.The crash remains under investigation.
