Worker killed by Tesla crash in San Leandro
(KRON) -- A worker was unloading a semi-truck parked on Doolittle Drive in San Leandro when an out-of-control Tesla crashed into him Tuesday, police said. The man suffered fatal injuries and died, according to police. Investigators said the white Tesla Model 3 was being manually operated by its driver when the crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. The Tesla and a red Dodge Ram truck collided before the Tesla careened into the rear of a semi-truck where the worker was standing. "Neither driver of the involved vehicles sustained any injuries, and both remained on scene to speak with investigators. The exact cause of the initial collision is still under investigation, but no impairment is suspected of either driver at this time," San Leandro police told KRON4.
