Taylor police investigate fatal crash involving two scenes, North Drive reopened
AUSTIN (KXAN) – Taylor police are investigating a fatal crash that prompted the closure of a section of North Drive and drew a large law enforcement presence to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center on Friday. According to the Taylor Police Department, the investigation involved two separate scenes. One scene was located on North Drive between Mallard Lane and Marshall Street, while the second was at Baylor Scott & White, 305 Mallard Lane. In an update issued at 2:02 p.m., police announced that North Drive had reopened to regular traffic and that officers had cleared the scene. Police still urged drivers to use alternate routes. Authorities did not immediately release information about the person who died or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
