Woman killed in wrong-way crash involving semi-truck in Old Hickory

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A woman has died following a head-on collision involving a semi-truck in Old Hickory, officials said. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a preliminary investigation indicates that 65-year-old Carrie McManama of Ashland City was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lane of Robinson Road in a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu when she collided with a semi head-on just after midnight on Monday, March 2. Authorities reported McManama died at the scene and there was no evidence of impairment on the part of the semi driver. "Toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether impairment played a role in this fatal crash," stated the MNPD in a release about the crash. No additional information was immediately released.
