Woman killed in 3-vehicle crash in Marion Co.
Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating after a three-car crash left one person dead and two others hurt Friday evening in Marion County. Around 5:30 p.m., troopers responded to the scene on state Route 309 in Claridon Township, on report of a crash involving an SUV, a Jeep and a sedan. An early investigation found the sedan was turning left into a driveway on Route 309 when it clipped the back end of an oncoming SUV. Then, a Jeep behind the SUV crashed into the sedan, causing the driver of the sedan to be thrown from the vehicle. The driver of the sedan, identified as 19-year-old Eva Moran, was taken to Marion General Hospital, where she died from her injuries. The driver of Jeep had minor injuries treated at the hospital. The driver of the SUV had injuries treated at the scene and did not need to go to the hospital. Marion County state troopers are investigating the crash.
