‘Heartbreaking’: Fatal crash on rural Oregon property claims life of 1-year-old girl
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Marion County Sheriff's Office is investigating a crash that left a 1-year-old child dead on Saturday. Deputies said they responded to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on a rural property outside Aumsville just before 8 p.m. on May 30. The child, a 1-year-old girl, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver is cooperating and no arrests have been made. "This is a heartbreaking incident, and our thoughts and condolences are with the child's family and all those affected," officials said.
