Fatal motor vehicle crash under investigation in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly motor vehicle crash that took place in Brunswick on Wednesday night. The incident occurred on NY-2 near Garfield Road. Members of the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office, along with local fire and EMS personnel, responded to the one-car motor vehicle crash at about 8:06 p.m. When they arrived, first responders determined that the driver of the vehicle had died as a result of their injuries sustained in the crash. They were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was treated at the scene and sent to Albany Medical Center for further evaluation. Authorities said the identities of the individuals involved are not being released at this time. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office.
