Woman ejected in rollover crash near NAS Lemoore
COALINGA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A woman was killed after being ejected from a rollover crash Saturday morning east of Lemoore Naval Air Station, the California Highway Patrol announced. Just after 6:50 a.m., CHP says they responded to a reported crash on Highway 198, east of Jameson Avenue. Officers reported a blue Nissan Rogue was headed west on Highway 198 at an unknown speed when, for reasons yet to be determined, the driver drifted to the right shoulder, lost control, and spun left in a southwesterly direction across both lanes of traffic. The Nissan then rolled over down a small embankment. CHP says the driver was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been officially released. Investigators reported that during their investigation, it was determined she was not wearing a seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
