Woman dies from injuries after SUV, 18-wheeler crash on San Antonio’s West Side
SAN ANTONIO - A woman has died after a crash involving an SUV and an 18-wheeler on the far West Side earlier this month. The crash happened around 11:05 a.m. on June 5 at the intersection of Talley Road and Tillman Ridge. RELATED: One person critically injured after car crash involving 18-wheeler on Far West Side Katelyn Carreno, 25, was riding in the rear seat of the SUV and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition after the collision. She later died from her injuries. Three other people in the SUV were also taken to area hospitals. Their conditions later stabilized. The SUV was attempting to cross Talley Road to continue east on Tillman Ridge when it was struck by a southbound 18-wheeler, according to information released by investigators. Carreno was in Texas, attending a wedding with her boyfriend and his family at the time of the crash, according to her mother. No charges are expected.
